"Corner of Light" is a site-specific piece created employing mirrors. The choice of material is driven from the interiors of Iranian mosques like Shah Cheragh, which beauty relies on the power of its reflective glasses and mirrors. The mosques that are covered with these geometric mirror mosaics, reflect light from numerous angles to create an illusion of broader and brighter space. The corner of studio 106 at Borden Building North at the University of Toronto was a dead, dark, and forgotten space filled with dust, garbage, and debris, needed care and attention. Its vertical pipe incidentally served as a unifying element to which the entire structure of the installation holds on to it. It was the pipes and the wires on the site that guided the process, meaning there were no particular arrangement plans prior to the creation of the piece other than following the footprints of the site.
